Memorial established by Mr. And Mrs. Trevor Hewitt in April 2005 in the garden of Ted and Libby Downing in Hainford marking the 60th anniversary and the location of the crash of the Hookem Cow.

The inscription on the brass plaque reads:
“This rose is in honour of the crew of B-24 Liberator bomber 42-95120 "Hookem Cow" of 754th Sq., 458th BG, AAF, Horsham St. Faiths, which crashed in this garden shortly after takeoff on April 14, 1945.”

The names and ranks of the crew assigned to the Hookem Cow that day are also inscribed.
Wild garlic grows in the garden around the memorial.
